Nurture Nest: A specialised centre for children opens in Dhanmondi

Nurture Nest, a specialised centre for children with special needs, has been launched on the seventh floor of Shimanta Sambhar Shopping Complex in Dhanmondi.
The centre was inaugurated by psychiatrists and child neurologists, with Professor Dr MA Salam presiding and Dr ASM Morshed delivering the welcome speech.
Renowned psychiatrist Dr MSI Mallick, the visionary of Nurture Nest, in his speech, emphasised the need for such a facility in Bangladesh. Professor Dr Hedayetul Islam was the chief guest of the event.
At Nurture Nest, specialist doctors will provide diagnosis, counselling, specialised care, and therapeutic services to children with special needs who are facing developmental and behavioural problems. In addition, special training will be provided for the parents or caregivers of such children.
Nurture Nest will run under the supervision of Bangladesh Psychiatric Care Limited (BPCL), the country's first private one-stop consultation centre for quality mental health services.
Services include Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, developmental therapy, psychotherapy, medical counselling, and training for parent and child care providers, all under expert supervision and one roof.
