NRBC Bank holds orientation programme for trainee officers
NRBC Bank PLC yesterday organised a daylong orientation programme for its newly recruited management trainee officers (MTOs) at its head office in Dhaka.
Md Ali Hossain Prodhania, chairman of the bank, inaugurated the programme as the chief guest, according to a press release.
“Today’s newly recruited officers are the leaders of tomorrow. From the outset of their careers, they must uphold discipline, integrity, professionalism and a strong sense of teamwork,” said Ali.
He said a banker’s foremost responsibility is to protect depositors’ interests while ensuring accountability to customers, shareholders, regulators and other stakeholders.
“I am confident that your competence, commitment and sincerity will contribute significantly to strengthening NRBC Bank and taking it to greater heights,” he added.
Md Touhidul Alam Khan, managing director and CEO of the bank, said banking is a service-oriented profession and providing quality customer service is the foremost responsibility of every banker.
He emphasised that ensuring the safety and security of depositors’ savings is one of the primary responsibilities of banks.
He also advised the newly recruited officers to equip themselves with advanced banking knowledge, uphold accountability and continuously enhance their professional competence to maintain the highest standards of professionalism.
Mohammad Abdul Qaium Khan, deputy managing director and chief operating officer at the bank, and Md Shaheen Howlader, deputy managing director and chief business officer, along with senior officials of the bank and relevant division heads, were also present at the programme.
