Three state banks get new managing directors
The government today appointed new managing directors (MDs) at three state-run banks – Sonail, Agrani and Rupali.
The financial institution division issued three separate notices related to the recruitment of the MDs.
Afzal Karim, managing director of Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation, has been selected as the MD of Sonali Bank, replacing Ataur Rahman Prodhan.
Murshedul Kabir, deputy managing director (DMD) of Sonali Bank, has been appointed as MD of Agrani Bank, replacing Shams-ul Islam.
Rupali Bank's DMD Mohammad Jahangir has managed promotion as MD of the lender. He replaced Obayed Ullah Al Masud.
The three will serve their respective bank for the next three years.
