Star journo Ahsan Habib wins CMJF’s best reporting award

The Daily Star journalist Ahsan Habib won the Best Reporting Award-2021 in the print media category given by the Capital Market Journalists' Forum (CMJF) today.
Habib won the award for his report titled "Walton has great prospects. But question hang over its IPO Prospectus" published on The Daily Star on March 3 in 2020.
The Forum gives the best reporting award in three categories -- print, online and electronic media.
Prof Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam, chairman of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), handed over crests and certificates among the winners in an event at the Westin Dhaka.
Sayeed Shipon, staff reporter of Jagonews24.com, won the award in online category and Alamgir Hossain, senior reporter of Jamuna Television, in the electronic category.
Prof Swapan Kumar Bala, former BSEC commissioner, was chairman of the jury board where Mohammed Helal Uddin, professor of Department of Economics at the University of Dhaka, and Ashjadul Kibria, planning editor of the Financial Express, were in the jury board.
