Ecnec okays 10 projects worth Tk 29,344 crore

The government today okayed 10 projects worth Tk 29,344 crore in a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (Ecnec).

Of the project cost, over Tk 11,000 crore will come from government fund and the rest over Tk 18,000 crore from foreign loans.

The Ecnec approved the projects in the meeting chaired by Prime Minister and Chairperson of the committee Sheikh Hasina who joined the event through video conferencing.

The projects include one of the shipping ministry, which was taken for the modernisation of the marine academy.

Two other projects of the road and transport ministry and the bridges ministry also received government approval.

Planning Minister MA Mannan, Agriculture Minister Muhammad Abdur Razzaque, Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Md Tazul Islam and Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun were also present.
