Commemorative coin to celebrate Bangladesh-Japan relations

The Bangladesh Bank and the Japan Mint have jointly minted a silver coin to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relationship between Bangladesh and Japan.
The relationship will be celebrated on February 10 this year when the bangking regulator will issue the coin, Bangladesh Bank said in a press release.
The Japan Mint is an independent administrative institution of the Japanese government, responsible for producing and circulating the coins of Japan.
After issuance, the commemorative coin will be available for sale in Bangladesh and Japan accordingly.
The BB will initially sell the coin to its customers through its Motijheel office and the Taka Museum at Mirpur in the capital.
The Japan Mint will sell the coin to its Japanese customers in Japan.
The 50 taka denominated commemorative silver coin is round shaped and 35 millimeter in diameter.
