‘Bangladesh, an attractive destination for investors now’
Bangladesh has created an investment opportunity for the investors thanks to the country's comparative wage, strategic geographical location, stable policies and exchange rate, a huge young population and political stability, said Ahmad Kaikaus, principal secretary to the prime minister.
He made the comment today while presenting a keynote speech at a session of the ongoing summit on "Investment competitiveness and business environment in Bangladesh".
Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (Bida) is organising the show at the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden with the sponsorship of the International Finance Corporation.
The government has created Bida, Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority, Bangladesh Export Promotion Zones Authority and Hi-Tech Park Authority to provide and create an investment-friendly environment, he said.
Bangladesh was dubbed a bottomless basket after the country's independence in 1971, but the nation achieved huge economic development since then and created an amazing investment opportunity, he noted.
