NCC Bank has launched a Shariah-based Islamic banking service, "NCC Islamic Banking". 

Md Abul Bashar, chairman, and Sohela Hossain, vice-chairman, inaugurated the service alongside an associated branch in Gulshan 2 of Dhaka yesterday, said a press release.

"This Shari'ah-based Islamic banking will help to develop the overall economy of the country as well as the banking sector," said Bashar.

Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid, managing director, Md Nurun Newaz, chairman of the risk management committee, SM Abu Mohsin, chairman of the executive committee, Khairul Alam Chaklader and Mohammed Sazzad Un Newaz, directors, and Md Anwar Hosain Molla, members of the Shariah supervisory committee, were present.
