World Children’s Day celebrated in Moulvibazar

Marking World Children’s Day and Child Rights Week 2019, Moulvibazar district administration and Moulvibazar Shishu Academy jointly hosted a programme at the Saifur Rahman Auditorium of Moulvibazar Government High School recently.

Mamunur Rashid, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) chaired over the closing ceremony and Deputy Commissioner Nazia Shirin was present as the chief guest.

District Child Affairs Officer Jasim Uddin Masud, and Head Teacher of Moulvibazar Government High School Fazlur Rahman were also in attendance, among others.  

The event comprised of three sections: cultural competitions, award giving ceremony, and a cultural programme. Certificates and awards were distribuited among the winners after the competition. 

The event concluded with recitations, dance and musical performances by children. The dance routines were directed by Pradeep Chandra Naha and Nazia Akhter Chowdhury. The musical performances were curated by Gauranga Das, Madhuri Roy and Nadira Akhter Chowdhury Rosi. The poetry recitals were supervised by Taslima Akhter.
