Srishti artistes travel to Delhi for Pahela Baishakh
Reputed Bangladeshi dance troupe Srishti Cultural Centre is all set to perform at the Pahela Baishakh celebrations at the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi, India. The High Commission has invited an eight-member delegation, led by the troupe's founder and leader Anisul Islam Hero, to perform at a cultural programme marking the Bangla New Year.
Indian foreign minister Sushma Swaraj is scheduled to attend the event, along with a number of diplomats and other dignitaries, according to a press release.
“Patriotic, folk and modern dance pieces will be presented at the programme,” Anisul Islam Hero informed. Apart from Srishti Cultural Centre, singer Swapnil Sajeeb will sing at the event.
