Since its founding in 2007, the World Masters Committee has so far honored 337 World Masters from 76 countries. These artists, artisans, and performers were recommended by the ambassadors and diplomats of the various foreign embassies in the Republic of Korea, along with the cultural ministries of their home countries.
The Embassy of Bangladesh in the Republic of Korea initiated, nominated and supported the artist trio for their status as World Masters.
In a written statement, Sonya KIM (KIM Eun Sil), International Committee Member of the WMC, mentioned, “Our review indicated that all of you meet or exceed all of the WMC’s demanding standards for this honour, and your selections were verified when your country’s ambassador to Korea signed a certificate designating you as the 2019 World Masters of Bangladesh.”
The WMC promotes many festivals and cultural exchange events in the Republic of Korea and around the world. WMC committee also hopes that the honourees will become an active part of their growing network of practitioners of cultural and public diplomacy.
