Internationally acclaimed Bangladeshi fusion band Chirkutt is all set to leave Dhaka on October 10 for their first tour in Australia. They will take part in 'Bangladesh Night' at Sydney on October 13 and another show in Melbourne a week later. These are benefit concerts for underprivileged children. “It is always wonderful to share Bangla music with people of a different nation,” says Sharmin Sultana Sumi, the vocalist of the band. “The Bangladeshi audience living abroad really misses the country, so it's heartening to bring them the essence of Bangladesh through our music.” Chirkutt are also scheduled to perform several concerts back in Bangladesh after their Australian tour.
