Habib clashes against dad Ferdous Wahid for “Jhor”
Popular singer-composer Habib Wahid is cooking up a 'storm' ahead of Pahela Baishakh, and to entertain his fans he is not afraid to even face off against his father, pop superstar of his heyday Ferdous Wahid.
Habib is setting up to release a single titled “Jhor” on the first day of the Bangla New Year, and for the music video he has enlisted Wahid Senior to play the villain -- his girlfriend's father. Model Sharlina Hossain will be seen as Habib's love interest in the music video. The father and son duo will face off in the music video, which is set in Old Dhaka and also features composer-singers Adit Rahman and Pritom Hasan, along with rapper Toufiq.
The song, which will release under the banner of Gaanchill Music, has been written by Suhrid Sufian. Tanim Rahman Angshu has directed the music video.
About the song, Habib says, “This is the first time my father is a model in a music video of mine, and he is playing my adversary! I really enjoyed a fight sequence we filmed for the music video.” Meanwhile, Ferdous Wahid says, “This is a really unique kind of work. It was really a fun experience, and I hope the audience enjoys it too.”
