Five photographers honoured in Mymensingh

Five photographers, including two photojournalists were honoured at a programme held at the premises of town's Durgabari Temple Thursday afternoon.

Mymensingh Film and Photography Society (MFPS), an organization of amateur photographers, organised the vent.

The award titled 'Third Eye' recipients were - Tazimul Hossain Puluk, Anil Ghosh, Avijit Das Robin and photojournalists - Biplob Kumar Guha Manik and Md Adiluzzaman Adil.

Marking the occasion, a discussion was also held, with Mymensingh municipality mayor Ekramul Haque Titu as the chief guest.

Terming the initiative as noble one, the speakers said such award will encourage other youths to go for creative jobs.

MFPS was formed four years ago by some energetic youths of the town. Now it has 28 members, mostly students of different universities and colleges. The organisation is relentlessly working to promote photography among the young generations.
