3 killed as truck hits motorcycle in Tangail

Three people including two teenage boys were killed as a truck hit a motorcycle they were on in Ghatail upazila of Tangail this morning.

The deceased were identified as Munna, 20, Rashid, 15, and Sourov, 15, of Kagmaripara village in Bhuapur upazila.

The accident took place on Singuria Bridge on Tangail-Bhuapur road around 11:30am, leaving one dead on the spot and two others injured, Officer-in-Charge of Bhuapur Police Station Rashidul Islam said.

One of the injured succumbed to his injuries on the way to Bhuapur Upazila Health Complex, the hospital's medical officer Dr Razib Chowdhury said.

Another injured was sent to Tangail General Hospital where he also died.
