Double crowns for Amol, Preety

Amol Roy and Afrana Islam Preety grabbed the singles titles of the Victory Day Tennis Competition, which concluded at the Ramna National Tennis Complex in Dhaka yesterday.

Amol beat Anowar Hossain 6-1, 6-3 in the men's final while Preety edged Shah Safina 6-4, 6-2 in the women's final.

Amol also won the men's doubles title after pairing up with Ranjan Ram to beat Mamun Bepari and Jamil Bhuiyan in straight sets while Preety and Safina paired up in the women's doubles to beat Ayesha Sultana and Jhilik Chakma pair in straight sets.
