Comilla Victorians' marauding run in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League continued on Friday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium as they produced a clinical all-round display to brush aside the Rangpur Riders beating them by 70 runs ensuring a coveted Qualifier spot in the process.

Comilla staged the most remarkable of comebacks winning all nine matches following three straight defeats in their first three contests.

Chasing Comilla's 177 for five, Rangpur delivered an underwhelming chase that saw them get bundled out for 107 with three overs to spare.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz top-scored with a 22-ball 29 in what was a dismal display with the bat from Nurul Hasan Sohan's side.

A clinical bowling effort by Comilla saw Mustafizur Rahman star with three wickets, while Tanvir Islam and Sunil Narine scalped two each.

Imrul Kayes' side posted 177 for five after being sent into bat first on a tricky surface.

At the top of the order, Comilla opener Liton Das found runs scoring a 33-ball 47 featuring three delectable fours and three sixes before falling to left-arm spinner Rakibul Hasan.

Skipper Imrul had a difficult stay in the middle managing a 20-ball 19 before he was put out of his misery by Azmatullah Omarzai.
But an onslaught from Khushdil Shah that saw him smash three sixes and two fours for his 20-ball 40 and Jaker Ali's 23-ball 34 propelled Comilla's score to 177 for five.
