Siddikur swings to form in Japan

Bangladesh's premier golfer Siddikur Rahman finished tied 32nd in the 38th Shinhan Donghae Open, which concluded at the Kome Country Club in Japan on Sunday.

Siddikur, the two-time Asian Tour winner, showed consistent form right through the 1050,000-dollar event, racking up under-par scores in all four rounds.

Siddikur started with a 66 in the first round before returning 70 in the second to move into the weekend rounds. Consecutive 68s in the last two rounds saw the Bangladeshi golfer aggregate 12-under-par 272.

The performance helped Siddikur pocket a prizemoney of 8,705 dollars.

Kazuke Higa of Japan, meanwhile, clinched the title with a score of 20-under-par 264. Overnight leader Tirawat Kaewsiribandit of Thailand shared the second spot with two other golfers at 18-under-par 266.
