The Asian Tour will mark its return to Bangladesh following a three-year absence due to the pandemic when the premier tour of the continent is held in November at the Kurmitola Golf Club in Dhaka.

Titled Bangabandhu Bangladesh Open 2022, the event will be held from November 22 to 27.

This will be the sixth time that the prestigious golf event will be held in Bangladesh, with its first held in 2015 and latest in 2019. Sadom Kaewkanjana of Thailand is the defending champion of the event.

The mega professional event has been rescheduled from December to November at the request for Asian Tour to make it the concluding event of the season, said a press release from Bangladesh Professional Golfers' Association. The date change will ensure a high quality field of players.

The acting chief coordinator of Bangladesh Golf Federation, Lt Col Anwar (retd), and joint secretary, Col Shahid (retd), confirmed the news.
