For a man who plays his domestic cricket in England, it was up to Coetzer to take the lead in Scotland's chase. While he did his part, he unfortunately did not receive support from his teammates. While they were departing one after the other, Coetzer stood firm until the 27th over when he became Moeen Ali's first victim. While his 84-ball 71 wasn't enough to provide Scotland with their maiden World Cup win, it did showcase Coetzer's talent. His well-timed flicks down the leg-side were brilliant to watch; something that Bangladesh's players, who will face them later on, would have definitely noticed.
