WI target shortened to 91 from 11 overs after rain
After a delay of more than an hour to West Indies' chase of Bangladesh's 143 for nine, the target for the home side has been reduced to 91 runs in 11 overs in the first T20I at Warner Park in St Kitts.
In the curtailed-over game, there will be three Powerplay overs instead of six. Four bowlers can bowl a maximum of two overs each, while one bowler can bowl three overs.
Bangladesh were asked to bat after home skipper Carlos Brathwaite won the toss and there was a half-hour delay to the start of play because of a passing shower. Bangladesh were reduced to five for two and 43 for four before the innings eventually petered out to 143 for nine on a belter of a wicket.
West Indies pacer Kesrick Williams took four for 28 while Bangladesh's Mahmudullah Riyad top-scored for the tourists with a 28-ball 35.
