Uttara, BKSP enter DPL
Uttara Sporting Club and Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan [BKSP] were promoted to the Dhaka Premier League for the next season after yesterday's First Division Cricket League match the sides was abandoned due to rain at the BKSP-3 ground in Savar.
With 26 points in 15 games, Uttara became the champions while BKSP, with 21 points in 15 matches, finished as runners-up.
Uttara have been clinical in the league, winning 12 and losing just one match while two matches were washed out, but there have been quite a few allegations of the organisers favouring Uttara this season. It will be a return to the top-flight after 14 years for Uttata, while BKSP will feature in the DPL after eight years.
Young Pegasus Club and Bangladesh Boys Club were the bottom two teams and so have been relegated to the second division.
