Mushy to start batting today
Wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim, who had been suffering from a rib injury that he sustained during a training session ahead of the Asia Cup opener against Sri Lanka, is set to resume batting from today.
The 31-year-old struck a century against Sri Lanka despite the injury. However Mushfiqur, who still has some pain, will undergo another scan on October 15.
According to Bangladesh Cricket Board chief physician Debashish Chowdhury, these types of injuries usually take four to six weeks to recover.
Meanwhile, Mahmudullah Riyad also underwent a scan for a slight pain in his back and is expected to get the results today.
