Kayes, Liton strike tons in BCL

Imrul Kayes and Liton Das struck tons for South Zone and East Zone respectively in the Bangladesh Cricket League today.

South Zone took a healthy lead of 178 and declared their innings on 365 for the loss of eight wickets against table toppers North Zone at Khulna today, courtesy of Imrul Kayes hitting a 165-ball 107 and Anamul Haque, who scored 89.

North Zone reached 32 without loss at stumps on Day 2.

In the day's other BCL match at Rajshahi, Liton Das blazed away with an unbeaten 125-ball 139 as East Zone reached 264 for the loss of three wickets in reply to Central Zone's first innings total of 546.

Liton struck 23 fours and a six in his unbeaten innings. Earlier, Abdul Majid struck a double century to take Central Zone to 546.
