First day washed out
The first day of the second four-day match between Bangladesh A and Sri Lanka A was washed out without a ball being delivered following heavy rain in the port city of Chittagong yesterday.
The first four-day game had ended in a draw. Lahiru Thirimanne had struck a hundred as Sri Lanka declared the first innings at 449 for 8. In reply, Bangladesh rode on twin tons from skipper Mosaddek Hossain and Sabbir Rahman to post 414 before Lankan skipper Dimuth Karunaratne struck a century in the second innings.
The visitors will play a third four-day game from July 10, which will be followed by a three-match one day series.
