PLOT: "Ok Jaanu" is a love story about a young couple's live-in relationship and the ups and downs they face in their respective lives. Adi (Aditya Roy Kapur) is a young game designer who dreams of shifting to USA. Tara (Shraddha Kapoor) is an architecture school graduate working in an architecture firm and her dream is to travel to Paris to pursue higher education. They both meet during Adi's friend's wedding and they slowly realize that marriage isn't for them and they move in together until the time they go for chasing their dreams.
REVIEW: "Ok Jaanu" is directed by Shaad Ali and it happens to be the remake of the Tamil movie "O Kadhal Kanmani". The director failed to build a plausible story with this film but all the credits goes to Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor's performances for making the audience hooked to their screen. The first half of the movie sets the atmosphere and the mood of the movie. Near the end, the movie took too much time in building their relationship. The movie's writing wasn't that good and because of that the whole concept of love, live-in-relationship and career gets bewildered. But the movie does have some funny moments in it. The chemistry between Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor was commendable. Naseeruddin Shah and Leela Samson also their part with utmost satisfaction. The music of "Ok Jaanu" by A. R. Rahman was very average despite the presence of tracks like "Humma Humma". The movie's cinematography by Ravi K. Chandran was good and the editing of the movie by A. Sreekar Prasad was decent.
Overall, "Ok Jaanu" is a decent love story which works only because of the magic created by the performances of the two amazing actors.
