Dohon is finally getting released on November 30, 2018. Although two dates had previously been set for its release, the makers decided to postpone for unknown reasons. The film will star Siam Ahmed and Puja Cherry. The Siam-Puja duo starring Poramon-2 was a hit and it is expected that the pair will draw a huge crowd to the cinema halls with Dohon.  Apart from Siam and Puja, Zakia Bari Momo and Shimul Khan will also be seen in the movie. However Hajir Biriyani, a song from the film came under severe criticism after being released on YouTube, recently. Renowned musicians, lyricists and singers have expressed reservations about the song. Bangladesh Film Censor Board has also called the song inappropriate and vulgar. The key themes of the movie revolve around social and political issues. Siam will be seen playing the role of a drug addict, while Puja will portray the role of a garment worker. Zakia Bari Momo will play the role of a journalist. About the film Siam stated, “My name in the movie is Tula. In the film people call me Harami Tula. I had to work really hard to get into the character – I had to wear dirty clothes and almost live like a real drug addict. In short, I have really tired to understand the life of a drug addict to bring the character to life. I hope the audience will see a different Siam through this film. Let's see how they appreciate this role.” Puja Cherry said, “I have worked really hard for this movie. I have had to keenly observe the garment workers – how they talk, how they carry themselves, the nitty-gritty of their lifestyle – just so I can portray the character to perfection. I hope the audiences will like the movie.” Abdul Aziz of Jaaz Multimedia said, “Dohon is a dream project for me. I have always wanted to make a film like Dohon. A lot of hard work went into making of the film and I was waiting for the right time to release it. I believe Dohon will be one of the most talked about films of 2018.”
