Wholesome messages for our readers
To our dear readers at SHOUT, we writers always appreciate the enthusiasm with which you guys read our stuff. And it's time we showed some of that love back with this article. Today it's about you and the love you deserve!
To the person reading this right now, first of all we should tell you that you're appreciated. Not just by us, but your friends as well. They definitely love you and think you're something special. You're a wonderfully unique person who is special just by existing, and you've brought a lot of joy into people's lives, whether you know it or not. We at SHOUT certainly acknowledge that. I for one pretty silently (read: dancing with joy and ordering in party food) celebrate every "haha" or "heart" reacc you guys give my articles on Facebook.
Sometimes you might be doubtful of yourself, and that's okay. We're here to tell you it gets better. No one's perfect, although your existence makes me rethink that sometimes. You're definitely capable of doing anything you put your mind to, so you shouldn't give up no matter how bad the odds like. Just like mainstream anime protagonists, the power of your friends' support and your iron determination will overcome ANY odds.
If you woke up very annoyed today, please don't take your frustrations out on other people. It's important to not hurt other people's feelings; you have to keep the good vibes going.
That terrible racist comment on a random meme on Facebook? Leave a politely worded message telling them that isn't cool, instead of a giant hate rant and a tirade of insults dissing them for existing. Their hate isn't okay, but you can't fight hate with hate. Leave them some love. They probably need it more than you do.
But if you're having a good day, it's important you share it with the entire world! Tag your friends in a meme, they'll appreciate that. Wholesome memes are definitely preferred to bring about some extra positivity in their lives. Or you can tag them in puppy pictures, because even the iciest heart completely melts at a little ball of floof smiling or accidentally bumping into a box. Awwwwwwww.
Remember to knock your friends and say hi, you have to appreciate their existences! Text them and ask what's going on in their lives. Bonus points if it's someone you haven't talked to in a while. Everyone loves old friends catching up, especially if you've been both too busy to talk. Invite them over if you can for a day out, and if you can spare the cash, treat them to their favourite food to make their day. Tell all your friends to stay hydrated too. It's important to stay hydrated.
Speaking of friends, it's important to love your family too.
Yo momma's so amazing, she can love everyone! (This isn't even a yo momma joke, it's just the truth). But seriously, she's a person who's sacrificed a lot to deal with you, and lord knows that you've been quite the handful for her, but between the sandal er thappors and leaving food in your room quietly without you asking for it, she's the best and you know it. Stop reading this article and hug her and tell her how much you love her.
Don't forget your dad too, even if you remember him mostly for when your mom doesn't let you do something so you ask him to take your side, he's still a great man who could use some extra love too. He might pretend to be all macho and manly to put on a strong front for you, but go hug him and see he's just a giant papa teddy.
And if you have siblings, remember it's that "ride or die" life with them. You guys might be at each other's throats like rabid dogs fighting over one piece of candy, but your brother/sister will always be the first person to have your back if you did something wrong. Appreciate that loyalty.
We at SHOUT may deliver a lot of messages laced with irony and often borderline edgy humour, but secretly we're all just looking for a little love and appreciation here. And this is our way of doing that, making cool articles for you guys to read all excited on a Thursday so your parents can never hound you that you don't ever pick up a newspaper. We want our readers to do the same in their own little way for everyone else. Positivity is always the best.
So remember folks, love and be loved, and be sure to do nice things for others today. Stay hydrated, and remind others to drink water too. There's always scope for a good deed in this world, and a little kindness could go a long way. Be wholesome!
