Joy goes to Malaysia to find his long lost aunt and ends up falling in love with Zaara in the process. When their love is confronted by acute obstacles, they strike back. Review: The film starts with a promise of being unconventional with Bobita and Sohel Rana appearing as themselves. Unfortunately, that was the only deviation from the typical plots. The rest of the film was as predictable as any other. 90% of the film was shot in Malaysia, which attributed to its scenic appeal. It is the 16th film directed by Shafiuddin Shafi. It's the first film written by Rumman Rashid Khan. So far he has written for small screen only. On the other hand, Jaya Ahsan and Arefin Shuvo made their mainstream film debut opposite highly experienced mainstream actors. The blend of experienced and debutants worked to the advantage of the film. Audiences were excited to see Jaya playing the leading lady in this genre. It was also very refreshing to see Arefin Shuvo playing the anti-hero in film big screen debut. It was very courageous on his part to take on such a role conquering the fear of being typecast. Music by Shouquat Ali Imon was catchy as always. The music CDs sold out in Bashundhara City two days before the film was released. The plot is filled with clichéd sub-plots like Diti, playing the daughter of Razzaq and Anwara, being thrown out of her parents' home for marrying the lodging master, Shubrata. Whatever flaws this film might have, it brought a large number of audience to the theatres, which is a huge success in itself. by Sadia Khalid
