Teenager missing for 8 days, body recovered from Narayanganj pond

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) recovered the body of a teenage boy eight days after he went missing in Sonargaon upazila of Narayanganj early today.

Rab also arrested two youths – Apurba Chandra Das (19), and Apu Das (25) -- in this connection, Rab-11 Commander Lt Col Tanvir Mahmud Pasha said in a press briefing.

Victim Faisal Ahmed, 17, was missing since January 26 night. His uncle Md Manik filed a general diary with Sonargaon Police Station on January 28.

Rab members recovered Faisal's body from a pond in Bagmuchha Rishipara in the early today.

The accused murdered Faisal over a previous enmity between them and dumped his body in the pond.

During primary interrogation, Apurba and Apu confessed to their crime, the Rab official added.
