11 arrested for stealing goods of Metro Rail project

Rab members arrested 11 members of an organised theft gang on charge of stealing goods from the Metro Rail project in Dhaka.

A team of Rab arrested them during a raid at Shah Ali Beribandh area along with the stolen goods worth around Tk 25 lakh, a truck and a private car, says a press release sent by Sajedul Islam Sazar, media officer of Rab-4.

Of the arrestees, four are directly involved in stealing goods from different sites, five are brokers who help them to sell the goods while the two others are buyers.

The arrestees are Motaleb Sikder, Nazrul Islam, Habib Ullah Bhuiyan, Waliulalh alias Babu, Abdullah Al Mamun, Sumon Ghosh, Abdus Sattar, Mohammad Ashique, Amzad Hossain Rajon, Monir and Reazul.
