Fruit vendor dies in Jatrabari road accident

A fruit vendor died when a vehicle hit his rickshaw-van in Dhaka's Jatrabari area early today.

The deceased was identified as Joynal Abedin, 47, from Patuakhali.

Joynal died on the spot when a vehicle hit his rickshaw-van near a wholesale fruit shop around 12:30am, said Sub-inspector of Jatrabari Police Station Salman Rahman.

Police are trying to identified the vehicle through the CCTV footage, he said.

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
