Fire at Karail slum in Mohakhali under control

The fire that broke out at Karail slum in Dhaka's Mohakhali area has been brought under control.

The fire originated around 11:00pm. Five firefighting units rushed to the spot around and brought the blaze under control around 11:33pm, said Rafi Al Faruk, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence control room.

The cause of the fire could not be known immediately. There were no reports of casualties.
