One more dengue patient dies, 31 hospitalised in 24 hours

One more dengue patient died and 31 were hospitalised in 24 hours, till 8:00am today, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the infected people, 10 are from outside Dhaka, the DGHS data shows.
With the new cases, the total number of dengue patients this year rose to 27,870 while 648 were diagnosed during the current month. Of the total infected, 4,533 are from outside Dhaka.
At least 3,567 dengue patients were diagnosed in November, 5,458 in October, 7,841 were diagnosed in September, 7,698 in August, 2,286 in July, 272 in June, 43 were infected in May and the rest are from January to April, according to DGHS.
So far, 101 people have died of dengue infection in the country this year -- all in July, August, September, October, November and December.
Twelve people died in July, 34 in August, 23 in September, 22 in October, seven in November and three in December so far.
Among the deaths, 92 have died in Dhaka division, three in Mymensingh, two each in Chattogram and Khulna, and one each in Rajshahi and Barishal divisions.
Though most of the patients who were hospitalised have so far been released, 213 are still undergoing treatment at hospitals in Dhaka, and 68 outside the capital, the DGHS data shows.
