29 dengue patients hospitalised in 24 hours

Twenty-nine dengue patients were hospitalised in 24 hours till 8 am today, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Of them, 25 are from outside Dhaka.

With the new cases this year, a total of 44 people were diagnosed with dengue during the current month. Of them, 31 are from outside Dhaka.

A total of 62 dengue patients, many of whom were admitted last month, are still undergoing treatment at hospitals in Dhaka, and 32 outside Dhaka.

According to the DGHS, around 28,429 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country in 2021. The death toll stood at 105 last year.
