No Covid-19 death in 24hrs, positivity rate 0.71%

No Covid-19 death was reported in 24 hours till 8:00am today, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country remains at 29,442 while the death rate at 1.44 percent.

At least 13 new infections from Covid-19 were recorded in this 24-hour period. The total number of cases rose to 20,37,556, added the release.

The current positivity rate is 0.71 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.36 percent, said the press release.

A total of 1,824 samples were tested across the country during this time.

At least 228 patients recovered from Covid-19 during the period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,92,922 and the recovery rate is 97.81 percent, added the release.
