Covid-19 Death Today

Twelve people died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country is currently 29,174 and the death rate stands at 1.47 percent.

At least 2,285 new Covid-19 cases were recorded during this period.

The current positivity rate is 16.51 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.76 percent.

Meanwhile, with the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 19,80,974, added the release.

A total of 13,842 samples were tested across the country during this period.

At least 482 patients have recovered from Covid-19 within this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,08,779 and the recovery rate at 96.36 percent, said the release.

Of the deceased, nine were men and three were women. Of them, one was 41-50 years old, two were 51-60, four were 61-70, and the rest were between 71 and 100, added the release.
