30 Covid deaths, 9,052 cases reported in 24 hours
At least 9,052 new infections were recorded and 30 people died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8:00 am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The current positivity rate is 22.95 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 14.58 percent.
The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country now stands at 28,524 and the mortality rate stands at 1.55 percent. Meanwhile, the total number of cases rose to 18,44,828, added the release.
A total of 39,445 samples were tested across the country in the 24 hours.
At least 6,282 patients have recovered from Covid-19 during the period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 15,87,374 and the recovery rate at 86.04 percent, added the release.
Of the 30 deceased, 19 were male and 11 were female.
Of them, two were between 21-30 years old, two between 41-50, four between 51-60, and eight were within 61-70, 10 between 71-80, and four within 81-90 years old, added the release.
