Road, bridges demolished to stop smuggling of timber from Ctg forest

The forest officials in Chattogram have demolished a road and four bridges inside a forest so that smugglers cannot steal timber from the area.
The road and bridges were broken down at Dhaillachhari of Mandakini in Hathazari area of the forest today (November 10, 2022), our Chattogram staff correspondent reports.
Fazlul Quader Chowdhury, an associate ranger of Hathazari of the forest department, told The Daily Star that the timber smugglers constructed road and bridges so that timber could be easily smuggled from the forest.
