With the motto, "Film, Fun, Foorti", Chorki, one of the largest video streaming platforms in Bangladesh, started its journey yesterday. On a promo video hosted by renowned actor Jaya Ahsan, she presented five Chorki originals, directed by five renowned directors. The promo video also featured renowned producer-director Redoan Rony, Chief Operating Officer of Chorki.

"My dream is to see the Bengali film industry introducing new stories, new characters, and explore versatile creative talents," shared Jaya Ahsan in the video. "Through the OTT platform Chorki, we are now one more step closer to a new era of Bangladeshi digital content."

In the promo, Jaya Ahsan is seen introducing the contents, based on performance according to their themes. Directed by Shihab Shaheen, an eight-episode web series "Morichika", and directed by Rabiul Alam Robi, anthology series, "Unoloukik" is the newly released web series, launched yesterday.

Chorki is set to release three original films, Adnan Al Rajeev's "Youtumor", Amitabh Reza Chowdhury's "Munshigiri" and Mizanur Rahman Aryan's "Network er Baire" in the upcoming months.

The original web series "Morichika" directed by Shihab Shaheen, features Siam Ahmed, Mahiya Mahi, Afran Nisho, Farhan Ahmed Jovan, Naresh Bhuiya, and Nazneen Chumki among others. The web series is currently streaming on Chorki. 

Anthology series, "Unoloukik" is based on four original stories by writer Shibabrata Barman -- "Moribar Holo Tar Shad", "Dwikhondito", "Jagar Bela Holo" (adapted to Mrs Prohelika), and "Television" (adapted to Hello Ladies) and the fifth one, "Don't Write Me", written especially for the Chorki original series.

"Unoloukik" features Chanchal Chowdhury, Nusrat Imrose Tisha, Asaduzzaman Noor, Gazi Rakayet, Intekhab Dinar, Iresh Zaker, Rafiath Rashid Mithila, Mostafa Monwar, Sohail Mandal, Farhana Hamid, and Naziba Basher, among others. The first episode of the anthology series is streaming now with each episode set to be released on every other consecutive Thursday.

The Chorki original film, "Youtumor", directed by Adnan Al Rajeev features Pritom Hasan and Ziaul Hoque Polash in the lead roles, with a special appearance by popular YouTube persona Salman Muqtadir.

Amitabh Reza Chowdhury's Chorki original film, "Munshigiri" features Chanchal Chowdhury in the lead role. The official release date is not yet announced.

Mizanur Rahman Aryan's original film, "Network er Baire" includes a star-studded cast of Shariful Raz, Yash Rohan, Orsha, Tasnuva Tisha, Khairul Bashar, Jonaed Bagdadi, Farin, and Nazifa Tushi, among others.
