Irfan Sajjad’s debut web series ‘Aghaat’ to release in India
The Bengali web series "Aghaat", directed by Zayed Rizwan, a Bangladeshi living in Australia, is set to release on Indian streaming platform Watcho on September 30.
A series of actors from Bangladesh and India have been cast in the production, while it has been shot in Australia. Produced by Mia Tarek and Shaon Arijit, "Aghaat" stars Bangladeshi actor Irfan Sajjad. Alongside him, Bipasha Kabir, and Deepali Akhter Tania are also in the series. Indian actor Ranojoy Bishnu will also play an important role in the project. Other characters will be played by Nadim Accari, Saifullah Sadi, and Shaheen Shehnawaz.
Zayed Rezwan's "Ayotti" is also going to release next month on Indian OTT platform Gameplex.
Ifran Sajjad will be seen as an IT expert who faces religious discrimination and prejudice, while Indian actor Ranojoy will play a special unit officer in the film. Dipali will play the character of a psychologist.
"All the actors have performed brilliantly, and we are already in talks for a second season," shares director Zayed Rizwan. "We hope to finalise the budget soon, which is going to be bigger than the first season."
The script of the web series is written by Tahsan Shuvo. Kishore Das composed the title track and background score of the production and Naved Parvez arranged the music. The songs feature Pantho Kanai, Raj Barman, Parvez, and Nancy.
