Don’t compare our films with ‘KGF’ or ‘Pushpa’: Arifin Shuvoo
Yesterday, the makers of the film, "Black War" organised an event to unveil the official trailer of the movie. The event took place at Banani club.
In a candid interview with The Daily Star, Arifin Shuvoo, one of the most popular heroes of Dhallywood, opened up about the recent scenario surrounding film stars in Bangladesh.
"I can't understand why, when one person does well, we automatically begin criticising others. If one person does well, then people will come and see the work of other actors as well. The fact is that we actors are not involved in mud-slinging one another, we want to work hard to take Bangladeshi films to the next level. We have a rich history where legendary actors like Raj Razzak, Sohel Rana, Ujjal, Farooque, Alamgir and Ilias Kanchon created wonders for our film industry," the actor said.
He also added, "In Bangladesh, we shoot an action scene with a small camera-crane, but in our neighbouring countries, they use cranes as big as three-four story buildings to shoot such scenes. We have a lot of limitations when it comes to doing stunts. It's ridiculous to compare our films with super-hit movies like 'KGF' or 'Pushpa'."
"We should try to do everything possible to ensure that our industry gains more profit and that it doesn't get affected by losses. The industry needs Shakib Khan, Sariful Razz, Siam, and Shuvoo to continue to succeed. The audience should support Bangladeshi films by coming to theatres. Our Bangladeshi producers, directors, and cameramen have the potential to create wonderful films and we should support them to do so," concluded the actor.
After unveiling the trailer, the makers announced that "Black War" will be released on January 13 in theatres.
"Black War" has been jointly directed by Sunny Sarwar and Foysal Ahmed. It also stars Taskin Rahman, Sadia Nabila, Jannatul Ferdous Oishee, Raisul Islam Asad, Sumit Sengupta, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Misha Sawdagar, Shatabdi Wadud, Manoj Pramanik, Iresh Zaker and Maznun Mizan.
