“Sheikh Hasinar Srishtishilota” held at Bangla Academy

Commemorating Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's 75th birthday, Bangla Academy organised a seminar and book exhibition titled "Sheikh Hasinar Srishtyshilota" today at its premises. The exhibition took place at the Abdul Karim Sahitya Bisharad Auditorium.
The session started at 11 am with the inauguration of the book exhibition, which showcases different publications written and edited by the Prime Minister.
This was followed by a performance by noted singer Lily Islam. The singer wished Sheikh Hasina a happy and prosperous life with the Rabindra Sangeet "Anandaloke".

Professor Rupa Chakrabarty then took to the floor to share Sheikh Hasina's journey, starting from her birth to becoming the prime minister of this country.
State Minister for Cultural Affairs K M Khalid was virtually present at the event as the chief guest, while National Professor Rafiqul Islam, President of Bangla Academy, was the event chair.
"Being a student of Bangla Literature, our Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has always projected creativity through her initiatives," said K M Khalid in his speech. "She adores literature and has done a lot to promote their work. I am happy that we are trying to promote her literary side to our people."
Poet Mohammad Nurul Huda, Director General of Bangla Academy, Dr Rashid Askari from Islamic University, Kushtia, and Jalal Ahmed, Director, Bangla Academy, were also in attendance, among others.
"Sheikh Hasina is our national leader, and she always looks to maintain peace and prosperity on both national and international levels," he said in his welcome address. "More artistic creations, highlighting her modesty, humility, and kindness should be initiated."
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Hasanat Lokman, secretary, Bangla Academy.
The book exhibition, showcasing 65 written pieces by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, is open for all till the end of September.
