Int’l flights to resume from 3rd week of this month

The civil aviation ministry has planned to resume regular flight operations on international routes on a limited scale from the third week of the current month.

"At first, we will resume flight operations only on Dhaka-London route from the third week of June and later, we will increase flight operations on other international routes," Mohibul Haque, senior secretary of the ministry, said.

Talking to The Daily Star, the senior secretary also said they will make a formal announcement in this regard on June 14.

The government on March 16 suspended regular flight operations on all domestic and international routes, except for China, to contain Covid-19 until May 30.
