All passenger flights with 10 countries suspended till April 7

The government has extended suspension of all passenger flights to and from 10 countries till April 7.

Earlier, Dhaka suspended air communication with Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Turkey, Malaysia, Singapore and India from March 22 till March 31 as a precautionary measure to stop the spread of coronavirus in the country.

However, passenger flights with the UK, China, Hong Kong and Thailand will remain open, a press release of the civil aviation ministry said today.

Meanwhile, Biman Bangladesh Airlines on Friday decided that it will suspend flights on its two remaining routes to London and Manchester from March 30 till April 7.

The civil aviation ministry today said suspension of all flights of the national flag carrier on domestic routes has been extended for seven days up to April 7. The earlier deadline was March 31.
