BUFT marks third BUFT-SICIP intake with certificate ceremony and job fair

BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT) hosted the inauguration of the third intake, the certificate award ceremony for trainees of the first and second intakes, and a job fair under the BUFT-SICIP initiative on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the BUFT Auditorium. Faruque Hassan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, BUFT, attended the program as the Chief Guest, while Prof. Dr Engr Ayub Nabi Khan, Vice Chancellor (Designate) and Advisor of the BUFT-SICIP initiative, presided over the ceremony. The ceremony was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests, including Riaz Bin Mahmud, Member of BoT, BUFT; Syeda Amina Fahmeen, Additional Secretary, DEPD (PM-3); TIM Zahid Hossain, Advisor, Shin Shin Group; Prof. Dr Md Alamgir Hosaain, Acting Pro VC of BUFT; Rafiquzzaman, Registrar, BUFT; Maureen Karim, Deputy Secretary, AEPD (PM-3) SICIP; and Mainul Hasan, DEPD (FM).

The programme was also attended by BUFT deans, PRD, DSW, academic and administrative heads, faculty members, officers, students, government officials, and industry representatives, underscoring the strong collaboration between academia, industry, and policymakers in promoting skills development and employment opportunities through the BUFT-SICIP initiative.
