Building Futures: Sajida Foundation launches scholarship programme for brilliant academic scholars

Sajida Foundation announced the launch of its 'SAJIDA Education Scholarship Programme' that aims to financially support Undergraduate and Post-Graduate students in their academic pursuit to uplift the vision of Sajida's Health, Happiness and Dignity for All.

The launching was graced by Md. Fashiullah, Executive Vice Chairman of the Microcredit Regulatory Authority. The event hosted a panel discussion exploring public and private sector initiatives for supporting higher education. Esteemed panellists included key personalities from the government, private, and academic sectors.

While addressing the subject of education and the Bangabandhu Scholarship, Md Fashiullah stated that "The inception of the Bangabandhu Higher Education Scholarship Programme by the Microcredit Regulatory Authority in honour of Mujib Year in 2020 received a resoundingly positive response from all Microfinance Institutions. Currently, the programme has provided support to 957 deserving and underprivileged students, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sajida Foundation for its instrumental role in introducing and advancing this initiative alongside us."

Zahida Fizza Kabir, Chief Executive Officer of Sajida Foundation, expressed gratitude to all attendees for their support in making quality education accessible to meritorious students, irrespective of their backgrounds and stated addressing the students, "You hold a crucial duty not only to yourselves but also to the society you live in. Embrace this responsibility with compassion and integrity."

The highlight of the event was the certificate awarding ceremony, where 27 deserving students were honoured with the prestigious Bangabandhu Higher Education Scholarship and Syed Humayun Kabir Scholarship.

The event concluded with remarks from the scholarship recipients, who shared their aspirations to pursue higher education.
