Gas, energy crisis cut industrial production: businesses

Businesses today expressed concern over the production in the industrial units because of the ongoing load-shedding, low gas pressure and high energy price.

Many industrial units, especially the export-oriented small and medium garment units, are facing the problem of delayed shipment for gas crisis and power cut from the ongoing load shedding.

They shared their view at a seminar on 'Energy security for sustainable development of industrial sector' organised by the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) at the federation building in Dhaka.

Exporters, importers, textile millers, business chamber leaders, businesspersons from almost all kinds of industrial sectors, government high-ups and experts attended the seminar.
