Aamra wins 3 awards at World HRD Congress
Aamra Companies, a local conglomerate, has won three awards in three different categories at the World HRD Congress held from February 15-17 at Taj Lands End in Mumbai, India.
The company has also been acknowledged for following the best HR practices by CHRO Asia for the 4th year in a row, according to a press release.
CHRO Asia and Star Media jointly awarded aamra for the 'Best Global CSR Practices' at the World HRD Congress, endorsing the CSR policy and practices by aamra that has built a strong tradition of excellence over the years.
Group Chief People Officer of aamra companies Ajeyo Rohitashwo- Al Quazi won two awards as one of the '100 Most influential Global HR Professionals' and as one of the '50 most Innovative Global HR Tech Leaders', jointly awarded by CHRO Asia and Times Ascent, the release read.
The awards recognise exemplary HR leaders for their commitment to excellence, developing best HR practices and innovative strategies to align with the company's technology for driving the business and workforce transformation.
Aamra Companies was founded in 1985 and has 13 strategic business units in ICT and telecom, textile and apparels, professional development, lifestyle, and food and beverage.
The company is contributing to the society by grooming the Bangladeshi youth, who comprise 66 percent of the country's population, by facilitating them with employability skills through residential training camps with the sole intention of preparing them for the corporate world, according to the release.

An internationally recognised panel of judges constituting professionals from different parts in Asia scrutinised the applicants for the awards with strict discipline to select the winners.
