Tisha and Apurba team up after 14 years

Popular actors Nusrat Imrose Tisha and Ziaul Faruq Apurba have worked together in many notable television projects, including "Bidhoba", "Bhalobashi Bhalobashi", and "Megh Balika", among others. They last shared the screen in Naeem Imtiaz Neyamul's "The Rain" in 2007. After a long break of over a decade, the much-loved onscreen pair are coming together this Eid for a television project, directed by Shihab Shaheen.

Shihab Shaheen has also written the screenplay, alongside Mesbah Uddin Shumon. The tele-fiction, produced under the banner of Alpha-i, will air on Deepto TV.

"We have already finished shooting for the production and I hope that the audience will enjoy Tisha and Apurba's onscreen chemistry once again," says Shihab Shaheen.

It is a family drama based on the relationship between a married couple and how the perceptions of the society impact their bond. "We are thinking of it naming the tele-fiction "Ohom", but we have not finalised the name yet," adds the director.

Though Tisha and Apurba have not collaborated on any tele-fiction in the last 14 years, they have met each other at different functions and talk shows. Apurba was also  a guest at the celebrity game show, "The Box",  hosted by Tisha.

"Working with Apurba after such a long time has been delightful. I realised that our rapport as co-actors is still the same, when we were talking about and rehearsing the scenes," shares Tisha.

The pair is also looking forward to the release of their second project together this Eid, directed by Mohiuddin Mahim. The release date of that project is yet to be finalised.

Tisha will be seen in four different Eid productions this year. She is also returning with the second season of "The Box", featuring many new fun segments with stars. Apurba, in the meantime, has been busy with his upcoming Eid releases.
